I had an amazing time working with the University of Arizona saxophone ensemble on Davydov Sonata I. After premiering the work at the 2026 National Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference, they gave a second performance at the University of Arizona. You can hear their excellent interpretation below.

From the Tchaikovsky Pieces...
this installment is after Vladimir Davydov, Tchaikovsky's nephew.
About the Tchaikovsky Pieces:
An expanding series of works responding to the life of composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, emphasizing his most important personal relationships. Each work is a foray into empathy, asking: to what extent is it truly possible to relate to people from profoundly different times and places than oneself? My intent is for these pieces to serve as a testament to the complexities of our (not so) mudane existences.
