I had an amazing time working with the University of Arizona saxophone ensemble on Davydov Sonata I. After premiering the work at the 2026 National Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference, they gave a second performance at the University of Arizona. You can hear their excellent interpretation below.

About the Tchaikovsky Pieces:

An expanding series of works responding to the life of composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, emphasizing his most important personal relationships. Each work is a foray into empathy, asking: to what extent is it truly possible to relate to people from profoundly different times and places than oneself? My intent is not to comprehensively address the content of Tchaikovsky's life, nor anyone else's--rather, I hope these pieces serve as a testament to the complexity of our (not so) mudane existences.
