Bio
Cole Nagoda (b. 2004) is an undergraduate composition major at the University of Arizona. From 2021-2023, he participated in the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s Young Composers Project, studying under composer Vincent Calianno. In that time, he was able to explore many techniques and write for a variety of ensembles, including for orchestra. In 2024, Cole won a composition competition hosted by the University of Arizona flute studio which culminated in a performance by a fellow undergraduate music student. Cole’s music has been performed at TURN UP Multimedia Festival, and he has recently been invited as a composition fellow to the Valencia International Performing Arts Summer Festival in Valencia, Spain, and the Cortona Sessions for New Music in Ede, Netherlands. After getting his Bachelor’s degree, Cole plans to go to grad school, with the long-term goal of teaching composition at the university level.
